They finally learn that Annemarie’s boyfriend in Michigan was Oliver Lyle Riley, the man whose name was tattooed on her. He’s also Frost and owns the house that used to belong to Nikki’s grandmother. Nikki begins to recall memories that may have involved him. When they raid the house, they find Darcy Hoff. Did this come close to any of your theories? Were you surprised that Darcy was still alive?

When Darcy's body didn't show up by the middle of the book, I assumed that she was still alive. They had mentioned before that Frost usually left his victims alive until the spring thaw was just around the corner. Then he would kill them and lay out the body.

This is when I knew Frost was her brother. It also explained why Annmarie started her murder board. She knew he was involved. Once again, I thought she should have let Nikki know. I knew Darcy was still alive. She wasn't part of Frost's plan initially.
