The Bobby Dunbar case is a 1912 disappearance where a 4-year-old boy vanished, was later found with a traveling handyman, and was identified by his parents as their son. Eight months after his disappearance, a boy matching Bobby's description was found in Mississippi with a man named William Cantwell Walters, who claimed the boy was Charles "Bruce" Anderson, the son of a woman named Julia Anderson. The boy was ultimately returned to the Dunbar family, who identified him by his physical markings. However, in 2004, DNA testing proved the boy was not related to the Dunbar family, confirming he was Bruce Anderson. The fate of the real Bobby Dunbar remains unknown.
