Hi teammates!! I had a question! I'm super new to the challenge group so I was wondering how the "Planned Buddy Reads" works? Do you just start the book on the listed date and people start reading it together and posting their thoughts? I wanted to do the November 15th Dark Matter buddy read so I just wanted to make sure I understand how it works before then! :) Thank you!!

Yes! Just start reading and pop in there on the date! We typically do 4 updates - chat about the book. Just make sure to clearly communicate where you are in the book - like Through Chapter 3. Stopped at Part 2. Through Part 1 - whatever, just to avoid spoilers!

btw @Becky, to add to what Trisha said, you can start a couple of days early or late from the start date

If you start too early (for example BR set for end of the month and you're starting beginning) it might not be accepted for BR points
=> need to check with Alaina on the specific rules for this

and well, we sometimes get messy because some of us (cue me :p) try to organise ourselves but we are ultimately mood readers 😂
