There are at least two SF dystopias where an infertility epidemic drives the plot:The Handmaid's Tale
The Children of Men
I think I'll read The Light Between Oceans by M.L. Stedman. It seems interesting, as it explores more than one couple's boon, going deeper to see the tragedy imposed on another by their decision.
Here is a good list with a broad range of books. I found a lot I had read and more than I would have thought on my to-read list. https://www.goodreads.com/shelf/show/...
More on the SF theme:Who Runs the World?
The Quiet at the End of the World, which will probably be the one I read
It's been a while since I read anything in the Inspector Lynley series, but I'm pretty sure Missing Joseph works for this prompt.
I was thinking Delicate Condition (on phone, no link, sorry), which the 12the season of American Horror Story was based on. Infertility is a central theme.
