Hi, all.

Here's a (with spoilers) discussion thread for Too Old for This by Samantha Downing, Judy leading the discussion.

Enjoy!

Glad you enjoyed it. I was happy at the ending!

Lottie has a great sense of humor! Not sure if that’s the ending I expected but I liked it. I somehow found her character likable despite everything. I was torn between wanting her to get caught and wanting her to get away with it.
I’d be curious for a sequel to follow her life at the Oak Manor.

Great idea for a sequel Catia! I agree, I found her likeable despite it all.

Harpreet (theshark97) | 1 comments Just finished it and like others, Lottie's thoughts were fun to read! Aside from her killings, I did like her friendship with Bonnie and Sheila! I wish we had gotten more about the trio in the end to help conclude her internal aging fears. Maybe she makes it a new tradition to make new recipes at Sheila's once a month for Thursday bingo! I think Lottie's charm partially comes from her relationships - she realizes Morgan and her both have to ignore and block out judgement, and she respects that and recognizes she also judged Morgan before putting more effort in.

Initially, I was so confused why she would kill Plum. Her anger towards the docuseries seemed so disproportionate, but maybe that's just because I'm not a serial killer (yay!)

It was also so comforting to know Burke ended with such a big bang! He'll be remembered now :P

Overall, I think it's a solid 3.5/5. it wasn't the most thrilling thriller, but Lottie is fun to follow!

Glad you enjoyed it. As for Plum, she didn't want the docuseries made and knew Plum would make it if she was alive. Rather extreme but that's serial killers for you!

Kimiko | 91 comments I found Lottie to be a likable character also. I loved having an "older" protagonist--even if she IS a serial killer! :-) I found it interesting that with all the complaints about her arthritis, she seemed to have no problem lifting dead bodies into freezers and wheelbarrows, etc.
