Which more modern English mystery would you like you to read with us during December?

Please choose a book from after about 1960 to finish our year's reading. Thanks 🙂

Sharon | 47 comments This author was born in Wales. Is that all right? If yes, I would like to nominate A Christmas Murder by Mary Grand.

Aw no, sorry Sharon. The group was set up to be English mysteries. A Christmas or festive-themed one would be great though!

Craftyhj | 74 comments If a festive one would be good how about Hercule Poirot's Silent Night by Sophie Hannah?

Sharon | 47 comments No worries. It's Christmas. It's cosy. Its author was born and bred in England. I nominate A Christmas Cruise Murder by Dawn Brookes.

This nomination is a bit of a shot in the dark but it sounds like fun and it is set in one of my favorite places, The Canary Islands. I hope the number of books she's written point to a surfeit of talent and not, er, well...

Thanks Tizi - now added 🙂

I know what you mean Sharon - but won't it be great if we have discovered a new author, with all those to go at 🥰
