Matsumoto: A Scales of the West Duology is my latest fantasy/historical fiction novel, and the third book in the franchise. In this world, dinosaurs still rule the earth, while humanity fights for a precarious existence in a terrifying and cruel world, and in the process, also trying to avoid their own self-destruction.

My newest book, Matsumoto, tells two stories:

- the origin and rise of a twisted, manipulative monster with raw, destructive power, while he joins the samurai to save his family and get his revenge…

- And the events after the previous book in the Scales of the West series, The Silent War, where he wreaked havoc on the desert cityscape of Triceratops Canyon, changing the city and its inhabitants forever.
