Started last night & already invested - Ransome builds such a complete world. My copy has b/w drawings & maps which are showing clearly on my kindle.
For a children's book it is long though - 399 pages! But they just flew past!

It is long, but as you say it's just flying along!I'm loving the drawings spotted throughout and at the beginning of each chapter. The maps remind me of the ones we used to make when playing treasure hunts in the neighbourhood. Wonderful childhood memories.

I'm at 45% & it has stopped flying for me!
