MJ31 | 27 comments Hiii MJ here, I'm in 8th grade and there's this guy. His friends has told me on MULTIPLE occasions that he likes me, wants my number, wants to go out BUT when I asked him he said he doesn't like me and it was, and I quote 'boys just being boys' over text. But I catch him staring and whenever his friends would say those stuff he would blush so dang hard you don't even get it. WHAT DO I DO. I went on vacation recently and my friend told me when I came back he was kinda joking around about liking me like saying 'Oh yeah I definitely like (my name)'. During gym I was a volleyball leader on one side and he was the other, THE AMOUNT OF TIMES HE'D SAY MY NAME TO ASK FOR THE SCORE AND TO HOLD. Like I'm here trying to keep my team together, don't come up here and distract me UGHHHHHHH. Anyways thanks for reading my long paragraph. Advice anyone?

Fiza Pathan (httpwwwgoodreadscomfizapathan) | 68 comments He seems to want it to come from you first. He is therefore being what we call as an avoidant.

But he will give his pals a ball to ball commentary about the both of you two online for sure. That he will NOT avoid doing - trust me on that one!

Almost 75% of guys these days your age as well as mine & even above are avoidants these days. They can be very disagreeable & rude if you ask them out first though. I've experienced that when I was younger.

Can't answer for you more than that, but we can be GR friends if you wish. I'm trying to figure out these avoidants myself as well for my own professional work of all things! :) :D
