Jasmine Mas | 12 comments I’m the author of Blood of Hercules and Bonds of Hercules (Villains of Lore Series). Readers have tagged the books on Goodreads as “reverse harem” and “why choose” but they are not why choose books or reverse harem and it is causing a lot of confusion online. We don’t call them that anywhere else on the web or with the meta data but readers assumed based on my past books. Could we please have all those tags removed because it is causing lots of problems for me on social media. I would really appreciate your help with the timely resolution of this big issue. Thanks so much! Bonds of HerculesJasmine Mas Blood of Hercules

Scott | 16949 comments Readers are free to shelve books however they like. We cannot do anything about it, anyway.

Is there anyway at all to remove or edit them? Could I do it manually? It's causing a big problem and people keep commenting that Goodreads says its a why choose when its not. I really need a way to fix this.

Scott | 16949 comments I'll reiterate: We cannot alter user shelf tags.

Is there any "emergency situation person" I could contact. Someone who works on the computer side? I'm getting death threats over this issue. Could my publisher reach out to someone?

I just thought about it and I'll try and put a comment at the top of both book descriptions. Sorry for bothering you with this.

Scott | 16949 comments Do not do that. Changes reversed.

message 9: by Emily (new)

Emily | 18230 comments It's not really a bother; we just have no way to do what you are asking. You'll have to contact Support. I would explain exactly what is happening as whoever answers your message may not understand what the tags mean or why this one is harmful.

Tami (tamicarvallo) | 7534 comments If it helps, this is how genres work on Goodreads: https://help.goodreads.com/s/article/...

They’re crowdsourced from user shelves, so they can’t be added or removed by librarians or the author. The Goodreads staff can look into it for you. Contact them and explain the situation.

This is not a Librarians Group issue. For general site queries, please either check Goodreads Help (https://help.goodreads.com), or you may wish to use the Contact Us page (http://www.goodreads.com/about/contac...). Closing thread.
