Wanted to hear 👂 from the friends in the States, how do you like the shu/itdown? Does it affect you anyhow?

Honestly, it hasn't impacted my life as yet.

If ATC remains scaled back into the holidays, there will be a lot of upset people. But, I don't fly very often.

I'll most likely see it when certain government military purchase orders get put on hold. Of course, bouncing checks to the Military-Industrial Complex is a good way for a lot of congress people to end their careers. So, do you think they'll go that far?

It's political warfare with no regard for constituents. What do you think of Trump's pushing for ending the filibuster?

I think that it's wrong when the Democrats pushed to end the filibuster to stack the courts, and therefore I think that the Republicans are wrong now. The filibuster was designed to be a set of brakes on the system. We get rid of the brakes at our own risks.

A couple days ago, Schumer proposed that they open temporarily so that government workers/programs can be funded - basically revisit it in a year, which would be around midterm elections here in the US.
