It’s determined from the autopsy that Lorelei had 34 old, healed stab wounds on her back and neck. Holly showed signs of long term physical abuse and had a head injury that was referred to as “talk and die,” meaning that she was able to walk around for some time (maybe hours) before dying from that head trauma. Emily puts her fingers to her lips whenever asked about who the bad person was. Were you even more mystified about this family or able to start developing some theories?

I was thinking that it was someone, likely male, with serious mental problems who was abusing the family, but that, for whatever reason, Lorelei wouldn't turn them it. I suspected it was Lorelei's son, but it could have been her brother or even her husband.
