Emily is placed with Celeste and Adam, her next of kin, and then goes missing. Lissette takes Josie where she last saw her and gets shot. Should Josie have known it was dangerous or was this literally a shot in the dark completely unexpected?

It was unexpected to me, for sure. I don't think Josie expected that on the grounds of the resort a shooter was in the woods they were searching not that far off the path. The fact that the shooter was even out there and aiming for Josie was a little farfetched.
