Michelle Cox | 21 comments Hi, there!

I'm re-publishing my Henrietta and Inspector Howard series (7 books) and would like to submit my new covers, isbns, publisher name, book description, etc. Should I give you all of this info or try to edit the book page myself? It looks like I can do a lot of it, but not the cover. A Girl Like You (Henrietta and Inspector Howard, #1) by Michelle Cox Can you tell me how to proceed? Thanks!

Michelle Cox | 21 comments how do I add a new edition? And will I be able to transfer my reviews?

message 4: by Scott (new)

Scott | 10814 comments Use the small button at the top of the existing book page to add a new edition. Reviews will not be transferred but they will be shared.

Michelle Cox | 21 comments Okay, so I discovered that the new versions are already up on goodreads, but I can't seem to get the editions to combine. Please advise! thanks!

message 6: by Scott (new)

Scott | 10814 comments I found a stray edition and combined it.

message 7: by Michelle (new)

Michelle Cox | 21 comments thank you!!!

But is there any way to get the new cover to be what pops up when someone does a search for this title? Right now, if I search "A Girl Like You", the old cover shows. Any way to change this?

Also, would you be able to combine the old and new editions for the rest of the series?

A Ring of Truth
A Promise Given
A Veil Removed
A Child Lost
A Spying Eye

There is a final book - A Haunting at Linley, but the new version isn't up yet.

Thanks so much!!!

Scott | 10814 comments All your titles appear to be combined already. Only you can set the primary edition for a book.

message 9: by Michelle (new)

Michelle Cox | 21 comments Thank you!! Sorry to keep bothering you, but how do I set an edition as primary?

Thanks!

message 10: by Scott (new)

Scott | 10814 comments Edit the one you want and set it as default/primary.

message 11: by Michelle (new)

Michelle Cox | 21 comments Okay, thanks! I found that. But the new and old versions of the other books actually aren't combined. Can you fix this? Thanks! The new editions have different covers. Also, if you look at A Ring of Truth, for example, there are 5 editions listed!! There should really only be three (print, ebook, and audio).

Secondly, Is there any way to just delete the earlier versions of all the books after the reviews transfer? It seems silly to have all these editions...

Thanks!!

Emily | 17778 comments The older editions don't go away when new ones are added. People like to shelve the ones they own. Kindle and Audible editions can have updated covers but physical books have to have new editions.

It looks like a couple of them were added as "empty" editions without an ASIN, and Amazon filled in a "junk" ASIN later. I will merge them but it will involve separating out some of them and re-combining so don't combine yet.

Michelle Cox | 21 comments Thanks for this! So should I just wait a few days for you to do this? Or should I try to do it?

Thanks so much!!!

message 14: by Emily (new)

Emily | 17778 comments OK I have merged a few editions, but there were a number of your new cover editions on the other author's profile. You will want to reset all of your default editions since I have separated and deleted several. So it seems like a lot of editions, but if you set the default as the newest version, people won't get confused.

Akanshi kumar (aashibansalwriter) | 3 comments Hey! I have changed my pen name, so please help me change my author name under my old book.

Books should be listed under the original author name. If reissued under a new name this can be added as a secondary author.
You can post a request at 'book and author page issues'. Remember to include link/s to relevant editions
