Londyn McCormack didn’t have a typical childhood. She ran away from home at sixteen, escaping parents more interested in drugs than their daughter. She doesn’t have loving siblings or an adorable pet. Her only family is the five other runaway kids who shared her junkyard home.

Life pulled them all in separate directions, taking her to Boston. For a short time, she thought she’d found something permanent. But after a devastating divorce, she’s running away again, this time to find a lost friend.
She’s driving across the country in her convertible. As a teenager, the rusty car was her shelter. As an adult, it’s her ride to freedom.

Except one flat tire derails her trip. Her life collides with Brooks Cohen. They walked away from the first crash. The second might destroy them both.

God this started off well. I like her, shes trying to find herself. Shame about her car!

I am loving these two! I love enemies to lovers and these two are perfect! Now that Gemma has been given the cabin and she has work to do each day, I wonder how long it will take for them to really get together.

I don't believe it was the ex wife. I accidentally read chapter 7 cause its so easy to read but my first thought was ah that isn't going to be her and then discovered the son and thought yep hes doing the damage cause hes mad his mum and dad aren't together.

Oooh if it's neither of the exes and not the son I wonder if its Meggie or Sally to meddle for them to get together.
It shows how nice Londyn is to feel sympathy for her ex and his AP. I'm not sure I'd be so gracious.
It sounds funny but I almost wish she would leave to see if her childhood friends are OK I'm curious about them. But I do like her and Brooks together. It was quite instant though.

I knew it was the son. Didn't get the motivation right but knew it was him!
I liked this. It feels really short but I enjoyed my read regardless. I quite enjoy their relationship its nice but it did feel very quick. I do wonder if an instant attraction and connection is real, but it is a romance and we love a hea.

I can tell I'll be finished with this today I'm really enjoying it. I do enjoy an fiesty relationship and I can see these two are going to butt heads a little.
Will be interesting is that car ever going to make it to California.. kinda invested!!

Sometimes I think especially with the shorter books there isn't enough time to flush out a relationship and it's instant attraction
Instant attraction I believe in but I think it takes time for love to develop.

These books feel so much shorter than her others. I don't mind a short romance but kinda miss it being a bit longer.

Aw man. This one gets me in the feels more than book 1. That was kinda emotional but idk I feel more for Gemma shes got this past with him and he hasn't quite let her in but she doesn't know how to ask to be let in.

I enjoyed this. I liked Gemma, actually prefer her to Londyn (not that I didn't like her)
My issue with Devney Perry is I could binge her series but I'll have to wait to continue now. Reading two back to back was so satisfying.
Romance was nice between these two. I really enjoyed the spice and the fiery start. She didn't roll over with him but she let him in and opened up to him. I was glad his mum gave him a good talking to.

Instant attraction is fine with me, but I agree that it does take time for love to develop. With these shorter books, it does move very quickly.

I loved this one. More than the first one. I don’t know if it was that Gemma & Easton had history along with Gemma and the rest of the family but it was so enjoyable. I really loved how he chased after her when he saw her crying before she drove away and he was finally determined not to let her leave.

This series is so emotional so far, I think that is going to be the theme. I'm looking forward to the next one. How do you both think it shapes up to her other series' we've read?
