I am going to say no on this one. It may be obvious that the sun is causing the reflection, but the sun is not visible on the cover. Sorry.

This beach's heavy fog and dreary weather features heavily in the story and so the sun is diffused - let me know if this works

In January, Makar Sankrati is a Hindu festival that celebrates the sun transitioning from the Southern to the Northern hemisphere.
Read a book with a sun on the cover. It can be a photo or drawing, but there must be enough visible to be obvious that it is a sun.
