Arnar Óskarsson (erkiengill) | 1 comments Hello all, middle-aged male from Reykjavík here. Been a bookworm all my life, but just recently started using the Goodreads website. Since I started tracking my progress at the start of October I've finished reading 31 books (plus a couple of others that are not yet available on the site).

Favourite genres are history, sci-fi, dystopian novels. Favourite authors include Douglas Adams, Terry Pratchett, Frank Herbert, J.R.R. Tolkien, Halldór Laxness and Antony Beevor. I've been reading Shaun Bythell's The Diary of a Bookseller series, I highly recommend them for all book lovers.

Currently reading: The Western Front: A History of the Great War, 1914-1918 by Nick Lloyd. It's a compelling and well written account on WWI.

Recently there has been a furious debate in my country about the status and future of our language. For a small nation it's becoming harder and harder to maintain.

Thank you for letting me join the group. Glad to be joining all of you reading people. I'm sure here I will find lots of inspiration for more interesting books to read (my Want to Read list is already 103 titles lol).

Kveðjur frá Reykjavík!
