10.8 Ratification Day
Ratification Day, January 14 1784, celebrates ratifying the Treaty of Paris which formally ended the Revolutionary War and established the United States as a free and independent nation.

Read a book first published in January of any year.

Robin P | 1717 comments Maybe everyone knows this but before a certain year, most books in GR are listed as January 1 for the publication date. It seems to be starting around 1999 that some, but not all, books have actual publication dates. For more recent years, there are exact dates. I assume we just go by whatever GR says? The books themselves usually just list a year on their copyright page.

I thought about that and putting a time frame in place, but ultimately decided it didn't matter because the inspiration was a historical event and I wanted older books to be allowed. We will just be going by what GR says.

Trish (trishhartuk) | 3750 comments Thanks. I was going to ask a similar question. Presumably the same applies for 15.3 book 2?

Many thanks

We are using the first published date which is seen just under the Genres list. That book has a first published date of January 1, 2005 so it works.
