This is a two book task

Book 1: Read a book that has been nominated for the 2025 Goodreads Choice Awards.
Required: State the category.
and
Book 2: Read a book that has all the numbers of 2026 present somewhere in in the first published date. Month Day or Year, any combination.

Could I just get a clarification for book 2?

Given that the first published dates on GR always have the month written out as a word, does that mean that for, say, January, you could use a 1? Or October you could use a 1 or a 0?

Correct.

So January 6, 2025
would be the numbers 1,6,2,0,2,5 and would work for the digits 2026

I don't know how the goodreads awards works. It is currently round 1. Beautiful Ugly has been nominated. If it doesn't make it to the next round, will the page be marked that it was a nominee and it will be eligible whether or not it gets to the next round?

If you go to the GR Choice page, there is a list of years along the side. When you click on the year, it shows the winners of each category, but if you click on the genre from there, it still gives you the list of all the books that were nominated.

I'm not sure if they still show up in the middle of the voting, but they should be there after the voting ends, which is when this season occurs.
