Riley Lowmiller | 52 comments Hey, I'm an aspiring author who wants some help. My book is about a fugitive who is accused of crimes. Along the way she meets a charming guy and falls in love. He wants to help her but he doesn't tell her why. If you're down to read some chapters tell me because I would love some feedback!

Riley Lowmiller | 52 comments Ashes Of A Throne

Some stories begin with a crown. Others begin with a curse. Mine? It begins with me-running for my life.
I wasn’t born a rebel. I wasn’t raised to be a threat to the kingdom. In fact, my name was almost lost to history- just another face hidden in the crowd. A nobody. An unimportant, useless orphan. Good thing I’m pretty unforgettable with my incredible personality– or at least I like to think so. But fate has a bad habit of finding the quiet ones—or the loud ones—anyone who notices what lies beneath King Elysian’s polished lies of peace and harmony.
Now, I’m running. From soldiers. From secrets. From the king who once promised peace and harmony.
The secrets I carry could ruin me. And the king—the same one who promised safety—delivers only chains and de@th sentences.
This is not a tale of perfect heroes or pretty endings. It’s my story. One you’ll never recover from. One I’ll never recover from. A story of survival, of betrayals that cut deeper than blades, of courage carved from desperation. At the center of it all? Me. A girl who never asked to be hunted. Who doesn’t deserve to be hunted. (Way too pretty to lose her head, if you ask me.) But maybe—just maybe—I’m bold enough to change everything. And bold enough to tell the man with all the power where he can shove his throne.
So turn the page. I’m running out of time. And whether you like it or not—you are too.

(Feel free to give me any feedback. I want honesty so I can better my writing. Thanks for reading!)

~Niko~ | 116 comments Seems like a decent intro- may want to save some details for later though- giving too much away can take away from plot twists later on in the book.

This also sounds like this would be something you find on the back of a book- like a preview/intro.

Other than that- it seems good!
