I write historical as well. Currently I have an 1887 short story available through my newsletter, and I'm currently working on a novel set in 1942.
Ooh I'm intrigued! What are they about?

How many books do you have planned for Tales of Veridon? And do they end on cliffhangers? Inquiring minds want to know.

Phoebe, I just bought your two Tales of Veriden (forgive any misspelling) and your short story from that series. On kindle. I have no idea when Iβll get around to them but I thought Iβd let you know π

I don't like waiting for cliffhangers either - and one of my favorite authors has ended TWO books in a row on a cliffhanger. π
One 12-book series that is about halfway written has the books always end with a cliffhanger. Inevitable at this point but somehow no easier. Can't the characters be in a semi-safe place for one moment?

Yep! You read Chuck Black's books too? Another one's coming out in March. :)
My brother has read the first three and LOVED them (I got him started on it, bought him a signed copy at the Denver homeschool convention for his birthday π). He keeps pestering me to read them but I have such a huge TBR π
Ooh, that was a gift well purchased. I've not the best track record in that!I might have to side with your brother, huge TBR or not. X) My brother and I buddy read Chuck Black's other series, Wars of the Realm. It was a lot of fun, just sayin'...
Iβve read all of his books so far, and Iβll keep getting the rest of the Starlore books but to be honest I hated the last one. I loved the first 5 a lot. But now the series is starting to feel drug out. Iβm hoping the next book redeems it again.

I get that. My emotional investment comes and goes with this series, but I remain curious.Wars of the Realm is my favorite of his. Hope he does more in that vein again someday.
