For me, Moby-Dick is the big one (no pun intended). I powered through out of sheer determination, but honestly…I regretted finishing it the second I closed the book. Dense, meandering, and way too much whale-encyclopedia for my taste.

For me it was Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier. Another book which I keep waiting and hoping would get interesting and it just didn't.
The Bell Jar This book interested me because it was mentioned on Gilmore Girls. After reading, I get the reference. It left me feeling depressed and unsettled. I can understand why some might identify with and embrace the main character's point of view. I'm proud to have made the effort by finishing it. Apparantly, it's a classic. But, I won't be reading it again.
