Random question: do you prefer books that hit emotionally hard… or books that are more escapist/light?

The “why” part is always fascinating to me.

Emotionally hitting is ok. Tear jerking is not. Because it's just not, lol

Thank you for interesting question. We all have different levels of sensitivity/emotional tolerance, would you agree??

I have no issues with emotional books whatsoever, but am unable to read descriptions of violence/torture, for example; and I know someone who is just the opposite- violence no problem, but can't handle any emotional complexity.

What about you, Zach- what is your own unique tolerance spectrum with regards to emotions?
