no i'm good! and idk if i will post something soon, i'm not going to be here mon-fri i'm traveling for break but i wanted to write some new poems so as soon as i do i will def share!

i haven't written anything new yet but here are a couple of my old poems from earlier this year that i like a lot..i want to write something new soon

These are so good!! I love how you describe the feelings and compare to nature in the first poem. And the line breaks>>>

i have a lot more imperfect ones too lol but they're only for me 😔

and every time i get notifs from this group i remind myself that i want to write something new lol

Footsteps:

freeze
two footsteps
my heart
or a beast?
stalking the door
of my shelter
breathing
waiting
i’m working
on adrenaline
eyes ache, and so do i
tension
in every movement of my fingers
and that beast
sulking outside my mind
heart beating
just as menacing
i have the lock
and you the key
i’m still working

freeze
and forward
i’m tucked in the sheets,
heart pounding,
crying.

I love this, the suspense is amazing! I read it like 3 separate times and I kept noticing how well they connected and going deeper into it each time.

I love the beginning the most "my heart/or a beast?" that line got me HOOKED.

thanks so muchhhhh and suspense/tension is what i was aiming for lol, when i came up with the idea for this i was feeling very tense lmao

The Clock:

my time
is running out
funny
because that’s the one thing
i’ve always measured
but
things hit different,
when it’s you.

i look around the room
another second
ticks
is it my last?
or another heartbeat wasted, awaiting the end?

my time
is running out
and i don’t know
if i’m happy
or sad.
either way, i can’t wait.
