Another Scarpetta book done! I'm not sure why, but this one just didn't pull me in. I hate what's happening with Marino in general, including his relationship with Kay. Overall, this is a solid entry in the series. The crime solving is suspenseful, and procedural elements are strong overall. There were some pacing issues, feeling slow at times. I think if you enjoy the series you'll appreciate this, but someone who jumps into the series here may walk away with a poor impression of the series overall.

Pages: 453 pages
Length: 1 month (December)

Mark spoilers by placing {spoiler} before the text and {/spoiler} after the text but use the < and > instead of the { and }.
Here are some questions to help get the conversation started! Feel free to look up discussion questions specific to this book or come up with your own. Just make sure any questions that contain spoilers are under spoiler tags.
