Georgette Heyer is one of my favourite authors for "Historical Romance" ...more specifically, for "Regency Romance".
In my opinion, she is highly talented in delightful writing, witty dialogues, humorous situations, intricate plots, interesting stories, skilful characterisation, inventing lovable protagonists, and weaving superb romance, including both 'ideal love' and 'physical chemistry', between them.
I especially enjoy her books for the entertaining escapades and authentic period details and slang,
...and most importantly, I very much appreciate her ability to maintain decency by implying physical attraction between the lead characters with merely exquisite manipulation of words instead of going into intimate details.
While I love and enjoy most of her books ...but the following are few of my favourites:
Lady Of Quality
Regency Buck
Cotillion
Frederica
Arabella
Friday's Child
Sylvester
The Convenient Marriage
Devil's Cub
...and well, there are just too many to name them all...!

I have her on my TBR list as well, but only her mysteries. I didn't know she wrote romance as well, I'll have to check this out!

Actually Sabrina, she is more popular for her Historical Romances, though I also her enjoy her Mysteries very much :-)
