For our final book of the year, we’re diving into All the Sinners Bleed by S.A. Cosby—a Southern crime thriller that blends moral complexity, small-town secrets, and a sheriff caught between justice and the ghosts of his past.

Before you begin, what are you expecting from this tense, character-driven story? Are you anticipating sharp social commentary, a gripping mystery, or a blend of both?

Share your pre-read thoughts, predictions, or early questions below as we get ready to step into Charon County.

Julie Grindal (julesgrin) | 177 comments I read the summary of All the Sinners Bleed and it feels like a mixing pot filled with ingredients that don’t play nice together.

I had no wait at the library so I have this queued up. Also, last month’s Lisa Jewell book became available this week so I have a lot of reading to do!

During this surgical recovery I have been finding it very difficult to focus on books, which is not at all what I expected. Therefore my reviews might take longer than my usual time. But I will get there.

Happy Holiday Season
Julie

Kristen Fort | 112 comments This will be the first S.A. Cosby novel I read (three of them on my want-to-read list, I guess I missed out on King of Ashes earlier this year), so I'm looking forward to getting introduced to Cosby's writing and characters and hoping for a good Criminal Minds-esque story.

Did you already have surgery? I thought it wasn't until Jan 20.

Julie Grindal (julesgrin) | 177 comments Yes, John. It was 11/20. I probably typed it wrong at some point.

Aahh. The other post said 1/20.

Hope recovery is going smoothly (aside from decreased focus on books)

Tiffany (herbtiff) | 201 comments Positive healing vibes, Julie.

I am expecting a rough world. Not that the world building by the author will be rough. Just expecting gritty and tough for the characters.
