In this book, Malala Yousafzai lets these refugees write out their personal experiences and the horrors they had to get through to stay where they are at this moment and time. Every chapter starts with Malala’s meeting with the refugee, how they met, their experiences together, and then the refugees write their hearts out wanting to bring light to free refugees have to go through just to survive or live another day. Each story has its own meaning to it and these stories are very much true.
My favorite part of this book was the pictures provided at the back of the book, it shows the happier side of things and with these pictures I see the people who had to go through all the suffering, the people who fought with endurance, the people who didn’t give up, even when everyone else did.
I would highly recommend this book for the deep dive the book goes into on the experiences and the knowledge that comes with it. After reading this book you will definitely see refugees in another light.
