panic attack tips?

I haven’t gotten panick attacks before, but a few of my friends have and here’s what they do:
They keep lifesaver mints or ticktack’s in their pocket (maybe that’s similar to the sour candy?)
They said the ice thing works rly well (:
This one’s pretty well known, but if someone is with you, just have them talk to you. Like how their day was so far, etc. anything rly.

ive been getting a ton of panic attacks recently, like at least one a day, which is way more than i usually get
ive been trying to get some tips to help me with them but a lot of them are like the 54321 method and they don't work because im too busy trying to get air into my lungs to focus on what i can smell and it just doesnt work even if i try
does anyone have any tips?
