For this month's challenge I went with That: Read a book that ends on an even numbered page, for which I read "Wordslut: A Feminist Guide to Taking Back the English Language" by Amanda Montell (304 pages). The author really showed how our words and language create and reinforce bias against women. There were some scenarios I was already keenly aware of, but the author presented a lot of other instances that I think many of us don’t even think about but have a profound impact. And it all was presented in a well-researched manner, but also with a good amount of snark. As a word nerd and feminist I thought this book was very thought provoking and important - highly recommend. 4 3/4 stars.
