Hii everyone! I am looking for Fantasy/Romantasy book recommendations!

I’ve been on a real fantasy/romantasy kick for the last couple of months and trying to find a series (or stand-alones, biology, etc) to grab my attention and fall into!

I LOVED Throne of Glass, ACOTAR, and Direbound so much and I’m looking for something similar to those!

Amee (amee9398) | 13 comments I’m just dipping my toes into Romantacy again after years, and I’m reading Fourth Wing and loving it.

Addie Grace | 6 comments The Crescent City series is very similar to ACOTAR (I believe it's by the same author), the Fourth Wing series is also an awesome fantasy series. If you're looking for more YA suggestions, Cruel Prince by Holly Black, and Powerless by Lauren Roberts are great options!

Barbara’s bookshelf | 5 comments Hi Madison!

If you loved Throne of Glass, ACOTAR, and Direbound, you’re definitely in a great romantasy phase — there’s so much to fall into next ✨ Direbound is on top of my TBR for 2026!

Here are a few recommendations (books with a special place in my heart) you might enjoy, depending on your mood:

• Crescent City (Sarah J. Maas) – Urban fantasy with strong emotional arcs and found family. Personally became my favorite SJM world after TOG.
• Crowns of Nyaxia (Carissa Broadbent) – Darker romantasy with rich worldbuilding and intense romance. Two completed duologies + two standalones. Still 1 duology to come out.
• The Plated Prisoner (Raven Kennedy) – The first book can be very challenging (check the trigger warnings), but the character growth and emotional payoff are worth it. Dark fantasy romance and completed series. Auren and Slade have my whole heart 🫠
• The Bridge Kingdom (Danielle L. Jensen) – “Realistic” fantasy romance (no magic or supernatural elements) with political tension and enemies-to-lovers, structured in duologies. Completed series.

New ongoing releases with great atmosphere: The Knight and the Moth (1 of 2, Rachel Gillig) and Anathema (1 of 3, Keri Lake)

Hope you find a world you’ll love getting lost in ✨
I also have many completed series on my TBR and I’m really looking forward to discovering new realms in 2026 and sharing them with the book club 🥰

I am a new author and just released Escala's Wish, which hit No. 5 on Amazon's New Release for fantasy action & Adventure on opening day.

It is a unique romantasy as it does not follow the standard current trope themes. There are no werewolves, no bad boy boyfriends, and no enemies-to-lovers storylines.

It centers around a mischievous pixie named Escala Winter, who is banished from her fey home (I won't spoil why) and follows her life of trying to get back.

It is full of banter, intrigue, action, and a very slow-burning real-life romance.

It is part of Kindle Unlimited as well.

If you are looking for something that is just fantasy and funny, I can't recommend the Dungeon Crawler Carl enough, and if you can afford it, get the Audible version. The narrator, Jeff Hayes, from Sound Booth theatre, is AMAZING. He does ALL of the voices and he is diverse in his voicing I thought it was a cast. His "Donut" really is LOL!

But wouldn't call DCC a romantasy-- but man, is it a uniquely entertaining fantasy.
