Elizabeth (elizabethlk) | 379 comments I'm really hoping to finally read We Do This 'til We Free Us: Abolitionist Organizing and Transforming Justice by Mariame Kaba or Let This Radicalize You: Organizing and the Revolution of Reciprocal Care by Kelly Hayes and Mariame Kaba for this one. I've been meaning to read both since they came out. I have digital copies of both, and a physical copy of the latter, and I'm trying to prioritise stuff that's already on my shelves wherever I can.

Some suggestions of things I've really enjoyed/found informative that fit here:

Prose nonfiction:
-A Kick in the Belly: Women, Slavery and Resistance by Stella Dadzie
-On Property: Policing, Prisons, and the Call for Abolition by Rinaldo Walcott
-Freedom is a Constant Struggle: Ferguson, Palestine and the Foundations of a Movement by Angela Y. Davis
-Heroines, Rescuers, Rabbis, Spies: Unsung Women of the Holocaust (YA) by Sarah Silberstein Swartz
-Hear Our Voices: A Powerful Retelling of the British Empire through 20 True Stories (YA) by Radhika Natarajan and Chao Tayiana, illustrations by Alexander Mostov

Graphic nonfiction:
-Wake: The Hidden History of Women-Led Slave Revolts by Rebecca Hall, art by Hugo Martínez
-The 500 Years of Indigenous Resistance Comic Book: Revised and Expanded by Gord Hill
-The Antifa Comic Book: 100 Years of Fascism and Antifa Movements by Gord Hill
-Our Members Be Unlimited: a comic about workers and their unions by Sam Wallman
-Anarchy in the Big Easy: A History of Revolt, Rebellion, and Resurgence by Max Cafard, art by Vulpes
-Amazons, Abolitionists, and Activists: A Graphic History of Women's Fight for Their Rights by Mikki Kendall, art by A. D'Amico
-Prophet Against Slavery: Benjamin Lay by David Lester with Marcus Rediker and Paul Buhle
-Holler: A Graphic Memoir of Rural Resistance by Denali Sai Nalamalapu
-Direct Action Gets the Goods: A Graphic History of the Strike in Canada by the Graphic History Collective
-1919: A Graphic History of the Winnipeg General Strike by David Lester and The Graphic History Collective
