McKenna | 31 comments TOGETHXR'S List of Women's Sports Books is a great list of for this task. Double check the authors when reading through the list, but a majority that I saw seemed to have women authors.

A couple options I found on this list that sound good:

Fair Play: How Sports Shape the Gender Debates

The Swans of Harlem: Five Black Ballerinas, Fifty Years of Sisterhood, and Their Reclamation of a Groundbreaking History

Up to Speed: The Groundbreaking Science of Women Athletes

Elizabeth (elizabethlk) | 379 comments I don't read a lot about sports tbh, so this one may be a struggle. I've been kind of wanting to read Blackness Is a Gift I Can Give Her: On Race, Community, and Black Women in Hockey by R. Renee Hess, so I may give that a go. I've also been eyeing The Last Hart Beating: From the Dungeon to WWE by Natalya Neidhart.

I may also do a sports romance. I haven't read one in a long time, but I definitely enjoyed my share back in the day, so it might be fun to revisit the genre, especially since the task doesn't specify fiction or nonfiction.

Teresa | 418 comments I'm going to read a cosy mystery with a sports theme.
