○ Superior Adaptation(view spoiler)[Users can quickly adapt to any situation, automatically gaining the necessary attributes to face them. In a fight, they may adapt themselves to resist abilities, replicate and enhance them to surpass their opponents, or spontaneously develop specific countermeasures. They can also analyze and understand any object, person or situation, quickly deducing the best course of action.

They may develop Extrasensory Perception when searching for something, Teleportation when trying to reach a far away destination, Transformation when facing too many or powerful opponents, etc.

Users can quickly recover from any damage, develop immunities to their source, even rebuild themselves from scratch (or environmental materials/energies if fully destroyed), and are thus virtually indestructible. User can only generate powers that they have witnessed/powers that have been used on or against them. These effects last only for a short time and are gone once the need for them is done. ○ Ethereal Manipulation(view spoiler)[User can create, shape and manipulate Aether, powerful and unique "Celestial Element" that flows through the Universe. The source of Quintessence, Chi, Aura, and Mana. There have been many claims/theories made by alchemists, natural philosophers, and very early modern physicists that confirm Aether's power. One claim is that it was the pure essence that the Mythological Gods lived and breathed in the same way humans did with air. Another claim is that Aether is the force used by God himself to create the Universe. Another reference would be the Hermeticist book "Kybalion" that not only explain its nature but the plane it comes from. As mentioned in the Astrology page, Aether is from the "Ethereal Plane", a Physical Plane that exists between the ones of both matter and energy. However, although it can partake in the nature of either substances, Aether is neither of these things.

User can create, shape and manipulate Nether, the "Chthonian Element" that flows through the realms of the living, and the Dead. The source of powers such as Death-Force, Dark Arts, Necromancy, and Mediumship. Nether is most known as the substance that makes up the Underworld, a subterranean dimension where all souls go when they pass on. Nether is very similar to Aether “the Celestial Element” in that is from a Plane that exists between the planes of both matter, and energy. However, although it can partake in the nature of either substances, Nether is neither of these things. (hide spoiler)]

Dylan stands at five foot eleven, and weights 152 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes, along with pale skin. Dylan's body is able to change its sex, although not always on command. When this happens, she is five foot two, and weights 110 pounds.

Dylan's outfits are centered around either an aspect of nature or an animal or concept. This can be described as 'otherkin fashion.' For example, if they wore an outfit based on dragons, they might wear a infinity scaled scarf, dragon jewelry, or even scale armor gauntlets. If they wore an outfit based on space, they would have a constellation shirt, cosmic shorts, a nebula infinity scarf, and a galaxy bracelet. As Merlin and Morgan, they don a blue hood with a silver septagram embroidered on the back. When they are Merlin and Morgan, they wear snake tattoos on their forearms and a crescent moon adorns their brow painted in woad. As Dylan, they wear nerdy glass, for appearances sake, as they have 20:20 vision. It is part of their 'ingenious disguise'.

Dryghten, the androgynous source of all, broke into two halves: The Lady and the Lord of the Universe, the Mistress and the Master of Magic, the Goddess and her God. They have multiple aspects or faces, each representing a different virtue. These are: The Maiden, representing innocence and chastity. The Mother, representing fertility and compassion. The Crone, representing wisdom. The Hag, represents the cycle of life, death, and rebirth. The Warrior, representing courage and victory. The Father, representing judgment. The Smith, representing strength. The Sage, representing the unknown and the passage into the afterlife.

The Hag and Sage can be merged into the Reaper, and act together as the sexless seventh face. However, the Trickster, representing joy and merriment, can replace the Reaper, ze is made up of the Lad and the Wench, the child forms of the God and Goddess, before they were the Maiden and the Warrior. Ze can be shown as conjoined twins, a female with male genitalia, a male with female genitalia, having no genitalia - but the Trickster is commonly depicted as an effeminate young boy. The Reaper and the Trickster can be merged once more into the Stranger, depicted as either a veiled human-figure with no gender, or a bestial monstrosity - the closest thing the Old Faith has to the Devil.

On Yule, the Goddess births the God. At Imbolc, the Goddess recovers from the birth. At Ostara, they fall in love. On Beltane, they are engaged. At Litha, they are married. On Lughnasadh, the God is aging, yet the Goddess is pregnant. At Mabon, the God is on his death bed, preparing to die. On Samhain, he dies, and the cycle begins anew.

The God is sometimes represented in the twins the Holly King of Darkness and the Oak King of Light. They fight to marry the Goddess. At Ostara, the two Kings battle. On Beltane, the Holly King falls. At Litha, the Oak King reigns. On Lughnasadh, the Holly King rises. At Mabon, they battle once more. On Samhain, the Oak King falls. At Yule, the Holly King reigns. On Imbolc, the Oak King rises. And so the cycle starts all over.

Their afterlife is Summerland, also known as Elphame or Alfheim, home to Elves and Fae. At the cardinal points, there are Watchtowers, with elemental guardians on lookout - at the center lies the Tower of Truth with the elemental of Spirit. There is the Temple of the Sun, a pyramid structure that houses the Sun Crystal. Before its steps are sphinxes, protecting its occult secrets. The Mound of the Serpent has a standing stone structure, not unlike Stonehenge. It is surrounded on all sides by the Astral Sea. They do believe in Hell, this is where the damned and those the Goddess cursed go.

Dylan is vivacious and flamboyant, however, can appear phlegmatic, detached, stoic, and cold. He has a rather pharisaical personality and believes himself to be superior over others. His arrogant and haughty attitude makes many people perceive him as callous. Dylan is loquacious, able to talk excessively, usually bragging about anything. He has a high libido and is very lewd, with a perverse sense of humor. Dylan is hedonistic by nature, being lazy, pleasure-seeking, and abhorring physical labor. He is known to be sarcastic, sassy and snarky. Dylan is capable of being gallant and plucky, if he feels like conducting itself in a civilized manner. Dylan appears to have attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, which causes his fidgeting gestures and frequent flailing. He has a strong wanderlust. Dylan is infamous for his immaturity and pranks.

● Hɪsᴛᴏʀʏ ●
Dylan Phoebus Widdershins was conceived on April 30th by Asgeir and Avalon Widdershins, although they were married the June after. Dylan was their first child, and was followed shortly after by Freya. Dylan was raised on the belief of magic and witchcraft, and when his powers manifested themselves, he believed them to be a gift from the gods. As far as he could tell, he could heal and hurt people with so much as a word - this was a very weak form of his aether and nether manipulation. He was also rather smart and could learn things rather easily, but he did not think there was any correlation between this and his powers. When he was six and Freya was four, a set of twins were born, Tove and Iollan. The twins was born during a long and rather bitter winter in Massachusetts, when it appeared the snows would not yield to the warmth of the coming Summer. They almost did not survive; that year many newborns perished.

Asgeir and Avallon soon took notice of their son's ability when he used a healing touch to help their newborns stay alive through the harsh and cold nights. They began to teach him further, making him rise through the ranks of their coven at a rather fast rate for someone so young. And then, once again, another child was sired - Aedus. Aedus became the jewel of the family, and it was his birth that breathed hope back into the parents' lives. Their five children were healthy, and one of them had the making of a wizard.

At age thirteen, according to their tradition, one is now an adult in spirit. And, at the cusp of adolescence, Dylan experienced a great change. A sex change. The experienced could be equaled to the pain of contractions. As his body rearranged itself, his DNA mutating back into something feminine, he did not understand what was happening till he glanced into a mirror - and saw a girl's face staring back at him. It was at this point that his Superior Adaptation revealed itself and his powers exploded. He was horrified, stuck in a girl's body. At first, he cried, fearing the thought of menstrual cycles and child birth, the loss of his virility was overwhelming...until an idea, which was inevitable, surfaced in his mind. After doing what most other males would do in his situation, having been satisfied and now able to think with a clear mind, he began to actually address the situation. His powers were growing. Not long after discovering this new ability did he discover his sexual and gender orientations.

Nimue, his 'familiar,' of sorts, found him. He did not find her. She appeared to be a black cat, although she could shift into a panther when needed. They established a telepathic link and she aided him - however, still feeding the delusion that his powers were gifts from the gods rather than a genetic mutation. By age fourteen, he became Merlin and Morgan, in reference to the Arthurian figures, whose names were used as titles in the old days of his people's faith. They were the Messengers and Faces of the Gods. And, he believed he was chosen, to be their prophet and oracle, to be their mouthpiece, eye, and hand in the world. Scarlet Witch eventually caught wind of him and brought him to the X-Mansion. He has been attending there for a year.

A boline and athame are tied at the left hip, a small grimoire at right hip. These never leave their side. They also wear a metal ring, it grounds their energy and recycles any excess quintessence that is released when they use their powers. They carry a flask of holy water in their back pocket to cleanse their hands before going into battle. Their staff is often held in left hand, and is used for close combat. Their wand in held in the right hand and is used for long-ranged combat. These weapons are not always on hand.

Alright, looks good! I'd be a little careful when RPing with them, though. Just make sure your not doing anything too OP, but otherwise, they're Approved!
