Well, that doesn't really mean that you have psychotic depression, that could simply be your imagination messing with you. It could be because you're paranoid that you won't hear them when they do call you, but that's not the only reason it could happen. Parents may also try and convince you something's wrong with you so much that you'll start to believe it. My step-mom made me think I had DID but my psychiatrist said that I did not, I just had other people taking space in my head by schizophrenia, not because I became those people.

so i'm pretty sure either I have bipolar or some form of depression. I am not allowed to get diagnosed/treated for anything so idk how to tell.
I've been so suicidal the last 6 months and at this point I really don't know what do do.

-------------------------------------------------------
Lets talk about what it feels like to have depression.
Depression is much more than having a bad day or an off week, its a mood disorder that causes constant feelings of sadness, disinterest, and emptiness. Because of how it effects people with it physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially, a lot of people have trouble understanding what it feels like.
#1: Waking up exhausted and drained
Have you stayed up really late and felt awful when you woke up? Imagine that, but everyday. No matter how much sleep someone with depression gets, they will likely still wake up with little to no energy. This lack of energy makes it hard to get out of bed and do normal daily activities. Think of depression as an invisible weight that brings you down everywhere you go. Its always there, making life harder, no matter what you try.
#2: Feeling as if there’s no joy in life
Have you ever had to pay attention to a class you don’t enjoy at all? Time seems to go slower and all you can do is count the minutes until its over. People with depression may feel no joy towards their life at all, making them uninterested in everything in everyday life. Everyone has a hard time concentrating on things they don’t enjoy, such as homework or chores. But what if someone doesn’t enjoy life in general? Likely they’ll become unresponsive and unfocused on the world around them.
#3: Low self esteem
Do you compare yourself to other models and celebrities on social media? People with depression tend to do the same, just on a much higher level. It goes much deeper than thinking their body isn’t picture perfect, instead it will lead them to think that they’re a failure as a person, family member, friend, and anything else they are. They may see everyone happy around them and think its their fault that they’re miserable. Of course, thats not the case, since depression is no ones fault, but just like comparing yourself to people on social media, its hard to stop thinking of yourself in a negative way.
#4: Having a complicated relationship with food
Do you ever eat because you feel sad, bored, or lonely, even though your not hungry? Much like eating to pass time, people with depression sometimes use food as a coping mechanism. They could overeat to distract themself from how they feel, or to avoid feeling numb. But also, on the other hand, someone with depression might undereat. They may become so numb that food just doesn’t seem appetizing anymore. In cases like this, it doesn’t help to say things like “You should be greatful you have food” or “You’re taking what you have for granted”. Instead, try to ask and listen to why they don’t seem to want to eat, and remember its not something that can be fixed overnight.
#5: Everything feels hopeless
Have you ever felt like nothing would ever get better? Everyone can think of a time when they felt as if nothing is going right. But, people with depression on the other hand tend to feel this way all the time. They may think that they’ll never amount to anything or they will never get over their depression. This constant feeling of hopelessness leads to constant exaustion and loss of motivation for anything.
#6: Unhealthy sleeping patterns
Ever had trouble sleeping? Maybe you were tossing and turning because you had a job interview in the morning. Many people with depression struggle with this every night. Depression is commonly linked with other struggles, such as insomnia and anxiety, both of which makes sleeping even harder. On the other hand, people with depression may also sleep too much, because they may see it as an escape from their aily struggles. Either way, an unhealthy sleeping pattern is bad for a persons mental and physical health. When you don’t sleep right, you may be more anxious, irritable, and stressed.
#7: Physical pain
Imagine the worst headache you’ve ever had. Now, imagine getting that around once every 2 weeks. While many tend to think that mental and physical health have nothing to do with each other, they actually overlap in many ways. For example, people with depression are more prone to body aches, headaches, nausea, and muscle tension. So while you may have trouble understanding how depression effects a person, you may be more understanding knowing what physical pain feels like.
Might add more, let me know what I should cover next.
