Diary of Difference Book Club discussion

Hi everyone and welcome to the DoD Book Club! Please introduce yourself below, so we can all get to know each other. I'll go first :)

My name is Ivana, I am 29 and I live in the UK. I love all genres and usually go with a book as long as the synopsis intrigues me, but I tend to gravitate towards psychological thrillers, fantasy and romance and characters that are rebellious and want to change the broken world they live in.

I am also a book blogger at Diary of Difference, and in my free time I love to play video games and I have recently been doing some running (I do Parkrun on Saturdays).

I have been a member of Goodreads since 2014 and have made a lot of friends, and I am now looking forward to making some more friends and reading some amazing books along the way!

I am fanatic for all the romance books - the darker they are the better - fantasy and romantasy. I dabble sometimes in thrillers but not a lot. As everyone my TBR is never-ending and grows constantly.

In my spare time I spend it with my family, walks and having a glass of wine down the pub!

Been in banking for 27 years and love to read. I usually read Paranormal Suspense, Paranormal Romance, Murder Mysteries and History, ancient history being my favorite.

My name is Anish, I am 36 y/o from India.
Been a reader for as long as I can remember, but I started my official bookish journey in 2013 and i've been on GR ever since, reviewing books compulsively (mostly for my future self)

I love Fantasy above all things that exist on God's green Earth and I keep diving deeper into the genre. Occasionally I do pick up different genres but I always return to Fantasy.

I read, review and play video games in my spare time. I generally tend to have offbeat takes on hyped books and I rely on my gut to form my opinions on books that I read.

Always open for soulful discussions and making new friends. Very new to the this book club thing, never done this in all my years on GR, would appreciate some help on this along the way :P

I will honestly read pretty much any genre as I can find interests anywhere and I love to expand my horizons but my favorites tend to lead toward fantasy and horror. I've been a member of Goodreads since about 2013 but haven't really made too many connections, maybe this will change that. I look forward to seeing what this club is all about.

Hello everyone! I just realised I cannot "like" your comments, so I just wanted to send a quick note to say I have been reading (and will continue reading) your intros and lovely to meet you all! :)

I also don't know what this book club will be all about, but excited to see where it goes and to be introduced to some new books and friends along the way!

There is a topic to add your book suggestions for a January read - I will share the link at the bottom of the comment. On 21st December, I will collate all book suggestions from that page and publish a poll so we can all vote and choose the January read and I will create a new topic where we can discuss the book whilst reading it.

And I guess we then go from there, repeat the same every month and if the book of the month sounds like your cup of tea, you can choose to join in or ignore it until one that intrigues you comes around. Also I am very welcome to any suggestions always! :)

My name is Sara. I´m 30 years old. And I live in Madeira, Portugal. Been a reader since childhood. I love every type of book, expect self help. But my favorite genres are historical, fantasy and gothic. Some of my favorite books Les miserables, Jane Eyer, My brillant friend, Lord of rings and War and peace. I also enjoy walk to nature, listen indie music and melancolic/sad movies.
