William R. (williamrdouglas) | 13 comments Hello Librarians,

I am the author of The Sum of All Our Anger: Civil War 2.0.

All editions (Kindle, Paperback, Hardcover) are already correctly grouped under a single work. However, the Kindle edition is currently set as the primary edition.

I would like to request that the Paperback edition be set as the primary edition and that the correct covers be applied to the paperback and hardcover editions.

Thank you very much for your help.

Hi William
(not edit requests) mean please don't request book edits in this folder.
Librarians can't set the default edition, only the author or Support can. Instructions are here.
https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

You should be able to add the new covers as an alternate cover edition. If not please seek help in this folder.
https://www.goodreads.com/topic/group...
Please read the stickied thread for the folder first.

William R. (williamrdouglas) | 13 comments Hello, thanks for the reply. The link you provided does NOT show a subject regarding changing the default edition.

https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

I really struggle with Goodreads and could use a more precise link for changing the Default Edition.

When I enter "Changing the default edition" in the search bar at the link you provided, I get nothing. So, do I need to escalate to a super librarian?

William R. (williamrdouglas) | 13 comments Thank you for the earlier help.
The paperback edition is now correctly marked as the primary edition at the edition level (it shows “manually set to be the primary edition of this work”), but the main book page still displays “Kindle Edition” at the top.
Could you please refresh or sync the work-level display so the paperback shows as the primary edition publicly?
Thank you very much.

Scott | 12809 comments When I look at your profile the paperback is the default.
If you're still seeing anything different, you probably just need to wait.
In any case we cannot correct any of these things for you. For any other problems with it you will need to contact support.

Carol, She's so Novel ꧁꧂ | 2587 comments I have a question too!

Is there a difference in the instructions I linked to & the instructions linked to in #5? I know that you needed to scroll down for them, but otherwise I can't see a difference. (not being sarcastic, genuinely confused!)

@William. This site is heavily cached, so some changes take a while to display. Also the developers are doing their annual maintenance. If, after 48 hours, your book isn't displaying as expected please contact Support;

as volunteer librarians can't help with site functionality.

There's no difference in instruction. I provided a direct link only because the user still seemed confused.
