Have fun! I think this might be my favorite...))

Laura was sitting at her desk, looking at some of her patients' papers, while Hannah was sitting on the floor beside her playing with dolls.

Benjamin sighed. He pushed away his window curtain and looked through it.

Laura stood up and walked over to Benjamin's desk. "Dr. Crane, do we have any appointments for today?"

Benjamin nodded. He motioned towards a giant heap of papers on the corner of his desk. It was the patients files.

Laura sighed. She picked up a few and studied them.

Hannah walked over to Benjamin. "Uncle Benjamin, will you play with me..?"

Benjamin looked at Hannah and sighed. "Uncle Ben is busy right now, but he can play later."

Hannah sighed. "Ok." She walked back over to Laura's desk and played with her dolls.

Laura walked a patient into one of the hospital's rooms. "Dr. Crane, please watch Hannah for me while I check on this patient."

Benjamin nodded. He didnt talk much. He opened a cabinet in his desk and pulled out a bottle of pills. He stood up and went over to Hannah.

Hannah seemed to be talking to herself, but she was making the dolls talk. She looked up and saw Ben walk over to her. "Are you going to play with me now?"

Benjamin looked out at the window and saw an infected paitent coming to the door. He looked back at Hannah "Not yet, first you need to take your medicene. Ill play with you later."

Hannah frowned. "I don't wanna!" She said, crossing her arms.

Markus started towards the hospital entrance, carrying a bag.

((he only lets little kids call him ben okay? hehe...))

Benjamin scowled. "You'll never get better any other way."

((k.))

Hannah pouted. "But Uncle Ben!"

Markus set down the bag he was carrying on a chair and saw Hannah and Benjamin.

Benjamin looked at Markus. "She wont take her medicene"

Markus shook his head. "Give me the medicine." He said, reaching out his hand.

Hannah went over to Markus and clenched his legs. "Hi daddy."

Markus nodded and smiled, his hand still extended out.

Benjamin opened the bottle and took out one pill. He closed the bottle and handed the pill to Markus.

Markus held onto the pill and put his hand in his pants. He knelt down to Hannah. "Hey, Hannah. You want some candy? I got some just for you. But don't tell mommy, k?"
Hannah smiled and nodded. "Ok! I want candy."
"Say 'aw'." Markus said. "And swallow the pill....I mean, candy, right away. So mommy won't see."
Hannah opened her mouth and Markus gave her the pill. Hannah swallowed hard. "It doesn't taste like anything!"
Markus faked a frown. "That's because it's special candy."
Hannah gasped. "Really?"
"Really."
Hannah walked over to her dolls happily and played.

"What's up, Benjamin?" Markus said.

Benjamin softly chuckled. "Thanks Markus" he mouthed.

"No prob." Markus said.
Laura walked out of the patient's room and towards the front desks. "Hi, Markus."
"Hey."
"Dr. Crane, did Hannah take her medicine?"

Benjamin nodded. There was a knock at the door and Benjamin went over to it. He opened the door.

Markus sat down at a chair. "Psh..Dr. Crane. Why don't you just call him Benjamin, Laura?"
"He's my workmate and I plan to speak to him that way while we are here at work." Laura said.
Markus nodded. "OK."

Hannah sat down on Markus's lap.

"Come in." said Benjamin. He motioned for the patient to follow. He went into the sick room.

"Hey, Benjamin, when are you getting off work for a break or something?" Markus asked, shaking Hannah on his lap.

Benjamin shrugged. "I dont know..." He went to work on the patient.

Markus shrugged. "OK. I'm taking Hannah out to play."
"Alright, be careful." Laura said.

After a few minutes of examining he said, "Infected." The paitent sighed while Benjamin handed him a pill bottle. "Three a day, no more, no less."

((haha, i'mma patient))

Kayla gulped. "Am I going to..." She paused. "I'm not going to die, am I?"

((make her have a crush on the doctor?))

"I dont know... so many have died already... you may be one of the lucky ones..." he sighed.

((Sure))

"Hopefully." Kayla said. "What chance do you think I have?"

Benjamin over looked her. "Twenty five percent...."

Kayla held back her tears. "Dr. Crane, I really don't wanna die! I'm not ready. There are so many things I haven't done! I've always dreamed of starting a family..."

He sighed. "I'm sorry... I've spent sleepless nights trying to find a cure... and failing... always failing..."

"Well, you shouldn't give up. Once you find the cure, you'll be what gave people a second chance in life. You're people's hope. You're my hope." Kayla said, clutching the pill bottle.

Benjamin slightly smiled at her. "Thank you. I will keep trying."

"Dr. Crane, I won't be able to go back to the school and teach the kids in my condition, will I?" Kayla asked, depressed. "I really want to go to the preschool and help them..."

"You cant go, or else you have a risk of infecting them"

"I'm scared, Dr. Crane." Kayla said, pushing her hair out of her eyes. "I don't what to do anymore."

"Neither do I Kayla... Neither do I...."

"I'm not the type of person who's used to just lying around the house, doing nothing." She said. "What am I suppose to do? Just lay on the bed; eat and sleep?"

"yes..."

"But, Dr. Crane..." Kayla said. She sighed. "There's nothing else I can really do, is there?"

"You wont want to..."

"I won't want to what?" Kayla asked.

"Do anything... Not yet at least."

Kayla sighed. "Y'know,Dr. Crane..." Kayla laughed to herself. "I really, really don't have anyone to go to. I mean, I have no husband, brother, sister. I'm alone. And...and that's just something I don't like and can't stand."

Benjamin looked worried. "You have no one to take care of you? No friends?"

Kayla shook her head. "I actually just moved here a couple weeks ago. The closest people to me here are my students at the preschool. They're the ones that make my day." She smiled at the thought.

"You'll need to stay here..."

"At the hospital?" Kayla asked.
