meg and matt were at school.pam was walking to the grocery store.

Paij was wondering around the warehouse, bored as can be. As usual, her brother was out trying to find a job for some extra cash.

Mim was by a warehouse most the people going by asked her where her mother was she was only 7 he brother was out some where

Kassidy was runing in the allyways.

Darius was in an alley way waiting for someone he was meeting

Kassidy almost ran into him but she fliped over him.

Darius looked at her

Kassidy stared back.

"Hi" darius said

Paij looked out one of the windows of the warehouse. She tapped on it, trying to get a little girl who was standing there's attention.

Mim looked up and saw someone

"Hi"she said defesively.

"What are you doing just standing there?" Paij asked the kid.

Darius looked at her

"I don't know i am lost" she said

"You got yourself a parent or someone you can call? You can use my phone." Paij said, putting her hand into her pocket, which had a 'her' phone.

Kassidy backed up.

"No i have no parents" she said

Darius turned away from her

"A brother? A sister?" Paij asked.

"No" she said her brother told her not to tell if someone asked her that quesion

Kassidy looked at him sencing something werid.

"You wanna come in? I'm guessing you'd be hungry or something..."

"Yes" she said

Darius looked down the alley way than back to see if she was still there

She watched him with a weryness you see on animals corrnered and about to be killed.

"K" Paij said. She opened the window, since it was large, for her to come in through. "How old are you?"

Darius sighed and sat down

She watched his every move.

Darius pulled out a smoke and lite it "Are you just going to stare at me all day" he said

She just stood there ready for a fight.

Darius laughed "I am not going to hurt you

SHe relaxed only a little.

"That's pretty young. Why are you all alone?" Paij asked, going over to one of the beat up cabinets and taking out a bag of candy; taking a few then passing it to her. .

She ate fast "Cause everyone is dead that i know" she said

"Sad." Paij said. "What's your name anyways?"

She sat down opposite than him.

"Mim" she said cutely

"Nice name. I'm Paij." Paij said. "Done with that candy?"

"Kassidy"she said suddenly.

"Yes" she said

"Darius" he said

Paij took the bag from Mim and threw in a bin then walked over and took two half-pint cartons of milk. "Here." She said, handing one to Mim. "So, how long has your family been 'gone'.?"

She nodded.

"Since i was 5" she said

"So what've you been doing the last couple years?"

Darius sighed and put the smoke out

"trying to stay alive" she said

"I belive your not going to hert me now."

"How have you been getting food and stuff?" Paij asked.

"Why would you think that in the first place" he said

"Not much" she said

Paij sighed. "I don't know about you, but I'm tired." She said, walking over to an old couch and sitting down. There was a knock at the far end of the warehouse. "That must be Ray." She grunted tiredly as she got up and walked to the back entrance of the warehouse. "Be right back." She told Mim. She opened the back door and walked with Ray in.
Ray jumped, surprised, when he saw Mim. "Who's that?" He asked Paij.
"Mim." Paij said.
"Hi...Mim. I'm Ray." Ray said, waving.
