So, basically, Souls will have flashes of memories concerning the circumstances surrounding their deaths based on things they see, hear, smell. Some will be able to find them quickly, others may never find them.
Groups, you literally just group together with other Souls, for now.
A more elaborate group system will be set up later.

what are guides exactly? Are they people that used to be souls that decided to stay? or am I being an idiot and not reading properly? >.<
They are technically angels because once souls have figured out their death and left, they go heaven or hell
so, they could be souls
so, they could be souls
ah, because i'm kinda stuck on history for my guide and I don't know what to do :/
Yes. The only they can't remember is, in fact, their death. Most remember their life beyond that.

Just for clarification: Guides also cannot remember how they died? And are guides always souls or are guides just guides (like angels)? I think the info about the guide is vague; could you elaborate on what they are, what they understand about themselves and Purgatory?
And what would the claims generally be? I'd just like a general sketch, in case I'm making too many characters before there are any claims to look at :3
a. guides remember how they've died. They had made it out of Purgatory, and were instated as guides one way or another.
b. no; guides could have been angels that decided to take the job, or souls that were given the option to become guides.Essentially, most guides are Angels. Just, not winged and with minimal powers. They're probably within the lowest ranks of angels, but still high up enough to be given the option. While they reside in Heaven when not assigned to a soul, Purgatory is very quite similar to Earth. Souls don't have a sense of time, as there is no sun or stars or moon; it's just sort of a blank sky. Guides would know exactly what time it is, where they are. They, in a sense, are more aware of their surroundings than souls are.d. Claims will generally be leaders of massive groups of souls. They'll be divided mostly be their feelings towards Purgatory and partly due to their lives. East, West, North, and South. And, a smaller, more selective group that is a compilation of murderers, terrorists, etc. There will also be a claim for withering souls that have become part of Purgatory: they cannot leave a certain area, and are more ghostly than the rest of the souls. They'll have a faded look to them, and most times, other souls will likely not notice, see, or hear them. Most of the withered souls, apart from being unable to leave a certain area, will have become one with an object. Like, part of the actual thing.
shah; I didn't even realize I did that O.O
enna; until they've figured out how they've died, yes.
