Brooklyn Bookworms! discussion

Hello all,
I will be visiting NYC in September and would like recommendations on a great bookstore to visit. I like many different genres and would like to visit a bookstore that maybe has a bar or cafe attached to it.

Huzzah. You've got questions. We've got answers!

First and foremost, is a small independent franchise 1-2 stores in Manhattan called 'The Strand' .

I don't believe it has a cafe but there are always dozens of cafes surrounding this store. That's a given in Manhattan.

Any idea what parts of town you will be exploring?

I would like to explore more of the upper east side and am interested in Brooklyn. Not quite sure yet!

Brooklyn...well you may as well visit the famous Brooklyn Public Library!
