James Prosek, the visionary visual artist, includes the essay and fiction writer. His collected works have already secured him a lasting position in the lineage of angling literature.

My first encounter with Prosek occurred on the pages of The Complete Angler: A Connecticut Yankee Follows in the Footsteps of Walton. That book remains a special experience reserved for bright spring days as pastel as the pages of this fine book.

Prosek continues to create art and prose. A sample of his current project printed in The New York Times celebrates fly fishing for trout.
