Anyone else doing NaNoWriMo this month? If you are, you can "Buddy" me there:

I'm laboring to finish the novel I started writing last November... have been editing ever since... and am now ready to write the second and third acts.

once upon a time there was a group of book lovers who were less crazy than a lot of people. they cavorted in a magical land where no unicorns were allowed. then a group of mangy, fleabitten, rabies-encrusted hyenas broke into the safe and happy village, savaging their princess until she was a bitter, cranky, snarling recluse. the people went away from the happy land and madness reigned in the Land of Goodreads for a long, long time.

Not Bill | 1061 comments Well, I don't miss the unicorns truth be told (they really smell... awful) but yes, rabid hyenas tend to spoil the party for everyone.

You like jalapeno poppers? Well, actually not poppers, I bake em, with a butt full o' cheese n chorizo. Sexy wicked.

sounds tempting.

my daughter ran away from home tonight. I have no idea why. My mom is in the hospital. This is so the last thing I need right now.

Daughter was just upset that I scolded her in front of her friends. She slept in someone's garage in the neighborhood (someone we know) and went to school the next day. Not much of a rebel, is she? Thank goodness. All is well... Mom is healing and doing fine.

PS... I don't want cheese or chorizo in my butt, thanks.

Not Bill | 1061 comments Oh yes you do... you just don't know it. Besides, I'm gauging a buttload from the size my own arse, which by the way, is where all cheese and chorizo belongs. You'll have to find your own supply of said goodness.

Good to hear things are well and good on the home front - that was some scary news.

Oh..oh, speaking of goodness. Squash blossoms, stuffed with cheese and jalapeno and then deep fried. Gawd-awful good. A shame their just about out of season.

Glad to hear things are shaping up Charissa...

Annie is ahead of schedule with Nano this year. Honestly I don't know where she fines the time. She has been uber busy networking in the industry and engaged in talks with several publishers for her "more complete" works. She has a few interviews posted on her website/blog. Other then that, Nicks life is slow and boring. I hope you have kept up your daily word count; books don't write themselves you know.

If you are still seriously trying to gain access to the industry I suggest going to these book conventions. Annie has gained more headway attending these then she has with a lit agent.

Catalina | 5 comments I have nothing to add here except a confession that I crashed and burned on NaNo this year. I got in around 2500 words. However, that id about 2000 words more than last year, so yay for progress!
