* Description: According to WHO data, over 300 million people worldwide suffer from depression, 23 million experience schizophrenia, and around 800,000 die by suicide annually. These figures are likely underestimated due to stigma and lack of awareness. Mental health issues are widespread among workers, students, youth, and other social groups, yet the revolutionary communist movement has largely neglected this issue.

There is a lack of Marxist-Leninist analysis and a collective, proletarian approach to mental health, leading to a dominance of liberal, postmodern, and individualist perspectives. This has allowed reactionary forces to co-opt mental health struggles and limited our ability to address these problems effectively. This booklet argues for an urgent need for revolutionary communists and other progressive movements to prioritize mental health as a critical issue.
