Already doing firestarter(cause me and Mella already read it, we can participate in the discussion with Mella). I guess since we already did a classic this month, it can be Modern or classic, Im open for anything so what ever you guys would like.

ok, Firestarter isn't in yet though they said it would only be 3 days (which was Sunday). I am loving The Shining. Since you both have read it, would you mind discussing when I'm done?
For a new book - seems we all read pretty fast - I'm open to whatever. Have either of you (or maybe I should say any of you because I see we have a new member) read We Have Always Lived in the Castle by Shirley Jackson? I have read it already, but would love to discuss it at some point. Doesn't have to be this month though.

I saw that new series involving a horror twist on some classics. that could be interesting - I'm willing to give it a try. have you read any of them?
Patient Zero sounds good to me, but maybe we should have another poll. I haven't started Firestarter anyway, and Under the Dome intimidates me because it is so long, and beyond that it won't be available in paperback for a while, I'm sure...

I just finished Patient Zero for my HA group. It's a good read; couldn't put it down. Not your garden variety zombie novel.
I'd recommend checking out THE 13TH by John Everson. It's a fast read, and one of the November featured releases from Leisure Books. And this group has easy access to flog the author... just sayin'...
And this group has easy access to flog the author... just sayin'... Ha ha. Gotta love these online book sites/groups. If I were an author I think I'd steer clear of them. Or maybe only peek every once in a while. It would hurt too much to be criticized.
Am looking forward to reading The 13th, John.
Yeah, it can be dangerous to surf them. But it's still fun to be able to interact with people who are actually READING what you spent months writing. I don't expect everyone to like it, so I'm OK with some negative reviews. Of course, if the books were universally panned, I guess I'd get a bit hurt... but so far, more people seem to have liked the books than hated them. :-)
John, you have quite a few fans over at Horror Aficionados. It is wonderful to be able to interact with authors. I've "talked" with Andrew Davidson (The Gargoyle), Gord Rollo (loved Jigsaw Man!) and some bizarro authors here at GR. Much better than sending a fan letter that the author will probably never even see.Benjamin, can you imagine how inundated S. King would be if he was involved in social networking?
