I’m really excited to read Alchemised, but I have to admit I'm a bit anxious about getting lost in it. Is there anything I should explore/read beforehand to help me better understand the story? I want to enjoy the experience fully!

It's a standalone experience! It is technically a rewrite of Manacled, but the story itself has been reworked so much that it's not necessary to read Manacled first. I will say I LOVED Alchemized, but take it slow and really read through the story. It is a sad story that is traumatizing and beautiful. Be sure to read the trigger warnings if you are more sensitive to certain subjects though! I hope you enjoy it!
