Discuss the story here . . .

Some stuff in here might be spoilers . . . but I am not marking them because I am thinking they are not too bad . . . proceed at your own risk!

I really enjoyed the story much more than I thought I would.

As mentioned previously, it is more of a comedy of errors than a horror story. Every character is a caricature of a type and they all play their part well. Often the characters lead themselves into a series of unfortunate events through their own incompetence or pride.

One example of the previous is when the two managers don't follow any of the instructions of the ghost and it is plainly obvious that their pride is going to be their undoing.

I found myself laughing out loud throughout!

The only complaint that I might have is that the climatic showdown felt a little forced, perhaps not a smooth as the rest of the story. Almost like he knew how he wanted it to end but was unsure how to get there without creating plot twists out of thin air.

Just went to see the musical again last night. It was great!

I've seen this a few times and it always blows me away. My favorite was when it had it's run in Vegas. The way they rigged the chandelier was simply crazy! Where did you see it?

In Indianapolis. It is on tour with Chris Mann from The Voice as The Phantom.

Lots of explosions and special effects. Singing and acting was great. It was INTENSE!

Kandice | 944 comments It certainly lends itself to melodrama, and like most of us agreed, it works better on stage than it did in the book. I haven't seen it with Mann, but I did see it with Guillame.
