Authors, here's a thread where you may ask writing- and publishing-related questions and answer the questions you have experience with. Let's help each other out as we're able.

Gary Gocek | 9 comments Self-publishers on Amazon should be careful not to set the audience age recommendations unless it is for young readers. If you try to set the age range to, say, "16 and up", Amazon goofs it up and displays the range as 16-18. The best that can be done for adult books is just to set the minimum and maximum to "no selection". There is no way to get Amazon to correctly display a minimum without a maximum.

If a child sees a book in the marketplace that is too advanced, we must assume that a parent makes the call. I am not referring to sex or violence. I am referring to books that require an adult education or intellect.

If the author WANTS an age range, say, 12-16 or whatever, that's fine. Set the min and max.

Authors, use the tools provided by Goodreads. Curate your own GR author profile.

Sherabim Joy (sherabimjoy) | 3 comments Seeking more readers for 'After The Benediction 2-The coming Storm." This powerful follow up of Christian Indie Award winning title "After the Benediction" is available now and I would love your review! After The Benediction 2-The Coming Storm

The anointing is powerful. The opposition? Fierce.

Pastor Jacey Joyner has become a force to be reckoned with—her bold vision and unshakable faith have catapulted Relevant Word Church into explosive growth and national prominence. But with greater influence comes greater warfare.

Encouraged by her board to expand the ministry’s reach, Jacey enters a high-profile partnership with Fellowships United, led by the charismatic Apostle Clarissa Moore. Just as the future looks brightest, scandal erupts—Apostle Clarissa is arrested for fraud, shattering the alliance and sending shockwaves through the body of Christ. The fallout is swift, and the backlash threatens not only the church’s reputation but Jacey’s personal life as well.

In the midst of chaos, Jacey is haunted by prophetic dreams and divine visions that call her deeper—beckoning her to surrender all and walk a path few are willing to tread. But obedience doesn’t come without a cost. As whispers grow louder and spiritual attacks intensify, Jacey finds herself at a dangerous crossroads.

Will she follow God's uncompromising call, risking everything she’s built? Or will the weight of public scrutiny and personal sacrifice prove too much to bear?

The storm is coming. Only one thing is certain—faith will be tested, and purpose will be revealed.

Jaya Wilkin | 2 comments Hello everyone! I’d love to share my newly released novel, Ten Chosen Women.

This is a fast, heartfelt Biblical fiction novel that follows the women in the lineage of Jesus — from Eve to Mary — and explores faith, redemption, sacrifice, motherhood, and God’s promises through generations of women.

Each chapter brings these women to life in a personal and emotional way while staying rooted in Scripture. If you enjoy Biblical fiction that feels reflective, inspiring, and easy to read, I hope this story encourages you.

Perfect for readers who enjoy:
• Women-centered Biblical fiction
• Stories of faith and redemption
• Christian historical fiction
• Mother’s Day or women’s Bible study reading
• Short, meaningful chapters that are easy to finish

Thank you for supporting independent Christian authors and faith-based fiction readers! I’d truly love to hear your thoughts if you decide to read it. 💛
