Hey, I attended Bookcon last year. So if you still need assistance, I'm here to help.
I'm sorry I haven't been to BookCon before but I am really enthusiastic about everything else!
These are the qualifications:
1) Knows how to use Goodreads and their messageboard system
This is an obvious requirement
2) Checks this often
If you don't check this group often now, no worries. If you become a mod your main job will be answering questions ASAP when they are asked. Like if you check once or twice a day that will be great.
3) You have been to BookCon before
I DO NOT mean this to be elitist. It is simply because the main job of mods is going to be to answer questions. I want people to give their advice and information based off of what BookCon tells us AND personal experience to make this place as useful as possible. Literally, nothing against you but it is just so misinformation doesn't get spread and nobody has an upsetting BookCon experience. Obviously I can't prove whether or not you have been before, but please be honest.
4) Participate in things here
It is great for everyone in this community to get to know each other so we can have an even better time at BookCon so please participate in all of our polls, threads, and fun questions.
5) Get the BookCon App
If you don't have the BookCon App, I can't even respect you anyway, so how can you be a moderator? Just kidding, it is mostly so you see what people often have questions about and we can turn them into a spot for FAQs here. I am in the process of setting that thread up.
How to apply:
Just message me. If you meet all the requirements, you probably have a 100% chance of becoming you a mod. I am only going to add THREE people, so let me know ASAP if you want to be one. I will take this down once I have three so as not to confuse anyone.
