Jessica wrote: "I don't think I've done a monthly challenge here before. Do we divvy up or claim tasks before we start reading?."Typically, unless the task is really specific (like reading from a challenge list), I only claim a task after I've finished my book so I don't hold up a spot someone else could take. . .but totally up to everyone how we do it!
Just an FYI, I just realized that virgo had a duplicated task - 'MC is detail-oriented.' This has been updated with a new task, 'Flower(s) on cover.'
Diana wrote: "is there going to be a spreadsheet?"
No team spreadsheet for this challenge since all tasks are repeatable. I will provide a link in score updates to the tracking spreadsheet. The tracking is only for the one time bonus points for completing every task.

Ok, thank you!
BR - https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...join if you need a PIECES, ARIES, GEMINI (FMC's name is Grace/book recommended to you...by me :D), CAPRICORN (published over 10+ years ago)... yes, I just realized I'm oversharing.
Hayley & I are starting this 4-book series if anyone wants to join.BR (series): https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

Thanks, Elizabeth! If there's a book you want to BR, let me know and I'll see if the title is available for me on libby. It seems BR / BOTM really helps bump the point tally.
Amanda & I are starting Agatha Christie's 39-book treasure trove of her Belgian detective Hercule Poirot on 1/25....if anyone wants to join. Buddy Reads will DOUBLE your points.
BOTM will TRIPLE your points.
BR (series): https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/....
Book #1 in the series is The Mysterious Affair at Styles.
Trisha wrote: "so many good reads in there! I hope you guys have fun digging in!"Join us, Trisha...will be fun. Or do you have any books you want to BR? Looks like that'll help us with points in this challenge, maybe?
anyone want to BR a 500+ pg mystery? I can start this weekend...it's a 7-day libby "skip-the-line" title:
Here One Moment. If you were told you only had a certain amount of time left to live, would you do things differently? Would you try to dodge your destiny?
Liane Moriarty’s Here One Moment is a brilliantly constructed tale that looks at free will and destiny, grief and love, and the endless struggle to maintain certainty and control in an uncertain world. A modern-day Jane Austen who humorously skewers social mores while spinning a web of mystery, Moriarty asks profound questions in her newest I-can’t-wait-to-find-out-what-happens novel.
Oooh, Netflix has her ‘Seven Dials Mystery’ available to watch….while not in the HP series, might be fun to watch before 1/25.

I normally would but I am so so so behind my in current buddy reads!! lol AND I'm behind on my arcs! I'm doing a terrible job of keeping up UGH! lol
I'll definitely join you guys if I can!
I was stumped...one of my prompts for January is to read a 600+ page debut novel and GR doesn't cross-reference this...I can find lists for *books over 600 pages* and *debut* but since 99% of debut novels are urged by publishers to be 200/250 - 350-400 pages...it's taken me daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaays to navigate the prompt, a virtual venn diagram of libby/overdrive availability, 600+ pages, and debut novel. kudos to MODs for this impossible task
popping another tracking post in here so we know what's been used and what's not - since I think we get big bonus if we get every task done!* Updated Through: 1/26 through Alaina's update

Trisha wrote: "popping another tracking post in here so we know what's been used and what's not - since I think we get big bonus if we get every task done! * Updated Through: 1/18>oh man,I forget that we're not supposed to do these tasks individually...looks like there a few from today that we knocked off. Only 87 more to earn that 150-point bonus.
at what stage in points should we chat/strategize to "get 'er done?"
I think when we're down to just a few days - unless you are reading one for one of the lists (which are more difficult)otherwise, I think we just try to get through as many as we can! lol There are SO many!

:D ...ok. 87 isn't as daunting as it was. We've done a great job of chipping away.
